I am going to the Electric Forest (http://www.theelectricforest.co.uk/Electric_forest/Thetford.html) light celebrations soon and would like any advice/suggestions on how best to tackle taking photos of the light displays bearing in mind it will be night time and in the middle of a forest.

I currently own a Nikon D40 but might be getting the Canon EOS 500D (present!!!) can anyone tell me what the Nikon equivalent to the Canon 500D would be please.

Thanks Andrew think your right, just read the two cameras side by side reviews and theres not much difference and I 'd have to change my lens like Hysteria said. Was getting excited that I could upgrade my D40 but never mind!!!! Another opportunity will arise I'm sure.

I've presently got a Nikon D40 which I love but I have been offered the chance of getting a Canon 350 for a good price and wondered if anyone could tell me if there was much difference between the two cameras. Would I actually be upgrading or are they similar? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Don't mind if its new or second hand, will go check out the D200. Body only would be fine as have two lenses.
