Which PC / laptop / Mac?

Thank you to everyone who responded here. I finally took the plunge and got an imac. Some very early observations: The sound quality is actually pretty decent for something so flat. The display is absolutely gorgeous. It's like I've never seen properly before! Now to get out with my...

Which PC / laptop / Mac?

What do you edit your photographs on? Looking at replacing a windows PC which is knackered and want something snappy and won't need replacing for a few years. Are Macs worth their price or are you paying for the logo? Cheers, Alex.

    Printing a portfolio

Thank you for the advice Brian. My pictures are by no means exceptional, but neither are some that I've seen various shops selling.

    Printing a portfolio

Hello all, I'm after some advice on printing a portfolio. First of all I want the portfolio to take around a few local art shops with a view of getting them to sell some of photographs (I'm not holding my breath but you don't get if you don't try). I'm also considering doing a college/uni...

    Time Lapse

Thanks for the explanation and examples on why everything has to be manual. That time lapse was effective Scott, but can see how the flickering ruins it. 4747carlin, I've just watched your full video (not the reject one), that was really really impressive! The bits around the docks with the...

    Time Lapse

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, wasn't sure whether to put it in the video section, although my question is more aimed at the taking of the pictures rather than the compiling of the video... I've recently been looking at some time lapse video tutorials and they all seem to say to...

    Quick filter question..

Interesting, the widest I'd be shooting at would be 24mm, it'd be worth just getting the original 3 slot one then? Thanks for the swift reply!

    Quick filter question..

...Roughly at what local length does vignetting stop being a problem on the normal Cokin P filter (the one that holds three filters opposed to the wide angle one that only holds the one filter)? Thanks in advance.
