Hi all, thought I'd give an update with respect to exchange of messages with Gigabyte who have been really helpful. The summary of it all is that the Intel i3 6100T has Intel HD530 graphics. This is listed as giving 4096x2304 resolution at 24Hz but with no indication of its 2K output. It will...
Many thanks to all for help and advice. Much appreciated. Apologies for tardy response, had a few crap days. I'll await a reply from Gigabyte and go from there. It could be that I'll get the 27" 1440p monitor anyway and if I need to run it at 1080p then so be it. I'll then look to saving up some...
Ah yes, I realise that 1200 is max on DVI but I use HDMI which indicates a higher resolution. I wasn't sure whether the 1200 max at 60Mhz applied just the same on tbe HDMI port.
Advice required here from PC savvy members. I currently use a 21.5" screen running 1080p at 60Mhz. I use the on board graphics which are rated at a max of 4096x2160 @ 24Mhz.
I'm looking to upgrade to a 27" screen rated at 1440p. Here's the question. Will the onboard graphics run 1440p at 60...
Yes the Sigma is AF which I tend to use most of the time. The M100 is screen only (no EVF) so that will use most power but even so I think power disappears more quickly with the sigma as opposed to the efm 18-55 is stm. It could be that the stm system is also more efficient. Interesting to hear...
I have been playing around using my EF-S lenses (Sigma 17-70 macro C & Canon 55-250 is stm) on my little M100 using a Meike adaptor. They work just fine on the M100, impressively so, but (there had to be a "but") I'm certainly getting the impression that battery life is much shorter than when...
I had considered the 12-60, a useful range, especially at the wide end but although not big in dslr lens terms, in this context it is significantly bigger/heavier than the 14-42. The 12-35 is pricewise (even MPB figures) way out of my budget so its looking like the Pan 14-42 ois ii is the most...
I've spent a lot of time reading stuff on line and weighing up the options. In doing so I think I've become guilty of moving my own goal posts here. By that I mean I've ruled out the small sensor compacts and have looked to MFT cameras. I pondered a while over a Canon M3 as with the adapter I...
Thanks for input. I'm still exploring the MFT option with the larger sensor being significant but size is also important. As you say, if it ends up in the nag with the 700D there's no point
On the compact side I found that UKDigital are offering a 5 year extended warranty with labour covered for...
