Well a report back, all went well, even after a very long lay off, very much just went to plan.
4 strips of negatives all dry and trimmed up, ready to scan over the weekend.
I have proven I can develop my own film and that my new to me ME Super has no light leaks.
Last night I got some old spoiled film out and my developing tank.
Sat with eyes closed and practiced the load up procedure before I have a run at the real thing.
Last time I loaded a tank was 1998! So thought a practice was called for, but as it turned out, its like riding a bike, got on and a...
I must add, really enjoyed using the ME, it was very pleasant to use.
Not sure if it equal to the OM2 in use, but very similar in hand.
But I am sure the Pentax glass will shine, Jury is out on the Tokina 28 though.
Well it stayed dry and just had a local walk with a 24 roll of Kentmere Pan 100 to check for light leaks and exposure etc.
Developing kit to the ready later or tomorrow night.
Through the usual friend of a friend route,
I was offered and old and non working Pentax and some bits.
What I received was a very nice ME Super, M series 50 1.7, Tokina 28. 2.8 and a Tokina 80-200 4 zoom.
Quick clean, new batteries and the ME is up and running and works perfectly after its 20...

Thank you for sharing the link.
As as newbie to this type of question, sorry it does fit with the thread.

I have one and when I tried the scan was terrible.
I have just come back to film after 20 years off.
In my getting sorted, I asked for developing items from friends and got a selection of kit just like I had 20 years ago, but this time for free, which great.
With one lot it came 5 rolls of exposed FP4 and HP5, been in a loft for 20 years or so...
Now watching this project Ed, I was not expecting a Sheep thread after the Chicken One to be honest.
I was thinking you were being a bit 'Baahmy'
Great Images, somehow this topic is more engaging than the Chickens.
Perhaps it is because is has the animals in a more 'natural' setting?
I think it is, but it’s Austerity driven of course.
The poor Ambo service is so stretched it can only deal with the living in need.
Those folks who have passed are conveyed in non emergency ambulances from the undertakers.
Just had to post about the great Olympus stand at the Photography Show.
Got my EM1 mkii and 12-40 and 75-300 cleaned and checked for free by Olympus Techs on stand as did my Mrs.
We also had a good play with lenses and bodies.
I expected the EM1x to be huge and weigh a tonne.
Being honest it...
