Agreed..it's for portraiture.

The budget is minimal - these cameras are to be work-horses not top of the range - so efficient and effective is the order of the day.

I am looking to purchase TWO identical bodies and lenses for my schools and nurseries work - possibly also events. I will be creating a set of equipment dedicated to this area of my work. I currently use Canon gear overall and am happy with them BUT they cannot cope adequately with bar codes...

It would be great to have them as prints...........

LIGHTROOM............... I currently use Photoshop CS4 BUT was wondering would folk recommend that I purchase Lightroom (and why)? If so, what version? Also, is there other related software on the market that would be beneficial for me to acquire?

On my previous Olmec dye-sub printer I had to take out the paper reel and ink ribbon before switching it off. Now that I have a DNP DS40, do I havew to take the paper and ribbon out of it before switching the printer off?
