The adapter i have is just a cheap aluminium one, but the mirror catches on the adapter itself, not the lens.
i think it was this one; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/M42-Lens-Canon-EOS-EF-Mount-adapter-40D-50D-450D-7D-/280547839994?pt=UK_Photography_CameraLenses_Lens_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET
I have an M42 adapter without AF confirm and it wont work with my old canon film slr, the mirror catchs of the adapter. I would imagine it would be the same on FF.

I couldn't see what all the fuss was about until i realised i didn't have to hold the focus button down to lock it. Now I love it, makes focus-recompose so much easier.

Ahh year 11, the greatest year ever. As soon as I got to sixth form I realised how awesome it was.
Jo, your choices look good, French GCSE was quite good as well although i regretted choose it at AS, became so much harder.

Pompidou centre is well worth a visit if you prefer modern art. Make sure you get the travel card for the metro, its about 14 euros for the day and you can use the buses as well.

I've found the kit lens very good for use inside museums where flash is a no-go. The IS is great and if you push the ISO up abit you still can get usable pics. I'm sure some one will come along and say you need a prime for it but thismight help you.
Adam.
I dont want to start a new thread to ask pretty much the same question about peoples opinions on this 450d grip so i thought i would just post here.
Has anyone used this...
Thanks for all the replys guys,
It sounds as though many people start with the f1.8 and then upgrade to the f1.4 or sigma 1.4 later on.
Would this be a good idea as i'm pretty my a complete novice and have never used a prime lens before and am not sure how much I would use it.
cheers
