Hitec 100mm or Cokin z-pro filter holder?

Looking at 100mm lens filters. Read good reviews about Lee but can't afford them. Anyone got experience of the above (ideally both)? Am I right in thinking the Cokin one can be configured to hold 1, 2 or 3 filters? Cheers

    Help please

No probs, I nearly found myself in the same position not long - I'm sure a lot of people on TP have... once people find out you own a camera that's bigger than their point-and-shoot; and you get that cool blurry backgroung thingamy  I'd do my homework - get inside the venue if you can...

    Help please

Fast primes might give you better optics and are typically faster. I'm not a wedding photographer but have been to lots of weddings and typically flashlights aren't used in the church or wedding breakfast, but have been at the evening do. Therefore you might want a faster lens (f/1.8 or quicker)...

    D7000 noise

Yes, shot in RAW with no noise reduction in the first. Sure, the 2.8 trinity is on the list but when the 70-300mm is a fraction of the price of the 70-200mm sometimes compromises have to be made to save my relationship! I might look at renting one for special events though and see the...

    D7000 noise

Sorry, should've been clearer. "Before" is straight off the camera without any PP. "After" has had white balance, sharpening, noise reduction, etc in Lightroom. Guilty as charged. I am a definite pixel-peeper and I need counselling! :bonk: Guess I was looking for reassurance that there's...

    D7000 noise

OK, so I'm a bit emotional when it comes to noise in photos. I recently bought a D7000 largely off the back of the promise of virtually noise-free photos up to ISO 1600. Do the reviews and comments I've read mean when printed out (e.g. 6x4) or when viewed at 100% on a monitor? I've been a...

What is it with Parents scowling at photographers?

it's the same attitude that results in there being almost no male primary school teachers. society needs to relax, be a bit more rationale and bit less paranoid - easier said than done!

    iphone?

iPhones rock but are a little commonplace. My flatmate has a gPhone (an iPhone that is 2 versions behind :)) and bores with "you can't copy/paste... blah... blah... blah..." - then I point out that I don't really need to that often, oh and the difference in build quality... Just my $0.02 and...

Best place to get a domain from?

Mine are with ukreg.com, but looking up these posts I'm not sure that they are the cheapest! The DNS point at my mates webserver where he's kindly set me up with free webmail and *unlimited* webspace - handy for those big picture files ;) I'll be sure to post some photos when I get a...

Would you be annoyed if someone copied your image ?

imitation is the best form of flattery - suck it up ;) of course, it is entirely plausible that someone else had a similar vision to yourself and has never seen your picture on flickr? there was a time when someone first took a shot of St Paul's with the millenium footbridge in view and...

    Nikon D60

I bought a D60 with the 18-55mm VR kit lens from Jessops as it had £20 off, though Dixons was cheaper online but was out of stock and I'm impatient! I'm also waiting on a Nikkor 55-200mm VR which will give me extra range. So far an excellent camera and very good value for money IMHO. I'd...
