on the box its got "HRC 280" for all Canon digital SLR's including my model the 1000d. There is only one adapter in the box and it seems to fit. Adam

I have just purchased a "Hahnel" cable remote shutter release. My question is, do you have to set up the camera to use it or should it work automatically when you plug it in? There are no instructions on the box and I can't see any advice in the camera manual. I have phoned the shop as it...
