Like someone said they will be more candids at 19 month old but try and get outside as much as possible with good light you will get better shutter speeds . Think about your surroundings nothing cluttered in backgrounds or use a wide open aperture and most of all have fun there is nothing more...

But that's the only thing it controls you control ISO can add or decrease compensation change metering mode single point focus, White balance etc non of this you can do in full auto

Hi my first Dslr was the 450d abd I bought one of the dummies books specifically for the camera and it taught me how to use the camera completely totally recommend it and when u can spare done cash I would recommend the nifty fifty and the 55-250mm both are great value good luck

Nope you have to be talented to make a bland photo look great also

The 450d was my first dslr and I loved it still use it now. I'm sure in time u will want to upgrade your kit lens tho enjoy using it this weekend
