Manfrotto limited edition tripod. Can you help?

Thanks, hoppy. Just done some more digging and it looks like you've got it. here's a quote i've found from a post by Saracen on the Digital Darkroom back in 2004... "Another vote here for the 055c and 141RC head. I got mine some years ago (1996 I think) when KJP were having their Silver Jubilee...

Manfrotto limited edition tripod. Can you help?

Hi everyone, Could anyone shed some light on my Manfrotto please. I've had it a while and always been intrigued by an etching / print on one leg. It says Diamond Jubilee 1936-1996 KJP. Limited edition, 017/402. Does anyone know who KJP are / were and why they embossed 402 Manfrotto 055c...

    Bag advice. Gripped 40d

Thanks guys. My kit as it is now, gripped 40d, 24-105mmL, 50mm, 55-250mmIS, sigma 105mm, sigma 10-20mm and 430ex. I guess the only addition i'm looking at lens wise would be a longer zoom like 70-200mm or similar to replace the 50-250mm. I current have a XXL crumpler shoulder bag. I'm more...

Focus problems with my Sigma 10-20

I know it's not much help, but manual focus through the viewfinder on my 40d is quite a bit off whereas when using liveview it nails it. But i see this problem is with autofocus. What's the body and focus like with other lenses. is it only this lens that is out? andy

    Bag advice. Gripped 40d

Hi all, Since i got a grip for my 40d, it no longer fits comfortably in my crumpler. I was looking at getting a LOWEPRO MINI TREKKER AW. Plenty of room in there i know but is it deep enough to hold the 40d with a grip? Unfortunately i'm not going to be able to get out and find one to try in the...

    Lightroom or Bridge?

lightroom seems far simpler to me. It imports, it catalogues, so versatile too. does most things that i used to use photoshop for but it's quicker and simpler. Lots of plugins to help with work-flow, uploading to flickr etc. andy

    Weddings and curvy brides

Some very useful tips there. There's always photoshop if you're a REAL expert, but then that wouldn't be a true reflection on what you shot and they may not like it. If she's self conscious then treat gently but if she's confident and happy with her body then it'll be really easy for you and...

+1 for snow leopard. Have you narrowed it down to the card reader or is it the usb port? do other usb devices work when attached? andy

    Changing lenses

Indeed, try to keep everything upside down and use that rocket blower as often as you can. Also try avoid changing lenses in places where you're going to get more dust. Eg an outdoor shoot in spring / summer with all that dust and pollen, change the lens in the car or inside a building if at all...
