Tutorial Moving Objects and Panning Technique

The problem in my opinion is the perspective of the car (i.e. it's angle to the camera) has changed through the pan.

Hi Stewart Just been looking at those reviews, (I was the 2nd to review LFH), time has gone quickly now, it's been over 2 years! Well done, I am glad to see everything running smoothly

    Canon 17-55 2.8

I rented one from lensesforhire last year for a holiday walk about lens. It's not that heavy to be honest. Build wise, it feels good although maybe not as good as an L lens. Performance wise it's impressive. I found it really sharp and a nice natural range to cover most things you'd encounter...

    Average weekly income

Average income is supposed to be about £25k for the UK, so about £1500 per month. I imagine in terms of district that it varies between £20k to £30k as an average. I haven't looked but National Statistcs will break down what you need to know.

Please settle an argument- aperture priority & low light?

Agreed. You'd have to adjust the aperture to settle on your target shutter speed. Problem with this is you can be finding yourself adjusting it all the time if the scene and the lighting change. Where as using Tv mode will do it for you.

Please settle an argument- aperture priority & low light?

Ah yeh I've seen that. Think I left it on default as I assumed it would just underexpose otherwise

Please settle an argument- aperture priority & low light?

Interesting that it wouldn't let you take the shot. The only time my Canon does that is when it can't focus. Yep ISO400 upwards. A pain really, if it was 100 upwards it would be great, so I only use it for difficult situations where I want to secure the best ISO with a suitable aperature and...

Please settle an argument- aperture priority & low light?

Think this is a very sensible question which probably explains your Dad's train of thought. If I knew I'd have to maintain, for example, a minimum of 1/400 sec for a sharp horse shot then there are a few ways round it. 1, Use Av. Make sure you have the lens wide open on an ISO setting that...

    Car Insurance rip off

I'm from hornchurch so have suffered the RM postcode insurance loading. Not much can be done about that though. I wouldn't go to a dealer for a car of the value you're looking at just look for private adds. You can get more for your money. Fiestas are common with boy racers so look at insurance...

    50mm 1.2 help

Well I think the focus point should have been changed thats all. It's hard to appreciate with such a large aperature that even slightly out of focus will be noticeable. If this was something like f/5.6 the face would have been in focus as well. There's nothing wrong with the lens
