Master of one trade - terrible elsewhere?

I firmly believe that curiosity, open-mindedness, a thirst to learn and recognition is the key to acquisition of skills and knowledge, and that is what I hunger for. I might be a jacqueline of trades and perhaps a master of none, but I earn a living at what I do, regardless of a title after my...

    New Camera - D750 or D810 ?

Thanks for the info. I am deep-sixing my Canon 7d, lenses and associated gear and switching to Nikon. I shoot events, weddings, engagements, etc. - Much of which is in less than optimal light conditions. i hate having to compromise by having to decrease the aperture (edit - need to clarify that...

    New Camera - D750 or D810 ?

This is a great thread, as I am going through the same dilemma myself. 750 or 810? like the handiness of the 750, but also the MP of the 810. Asking myself which I would be most likely to want to upgrade in 2 years. I would be willing to pay more to know that I would be happy with that...

I was at the point where I was taking fewer and fewer pictures, and not enjoying myself at all. I expressed these feelings on another forum...

    Glasswork first attempt

Thanks for the link. I reviewed the tutorial but it really does not address the type of glasswork I like to do...and the quality I am aiming for.. This was a more recent project.

    Glasswork first attempt

I love glass and I love working in my studio. This was my first attempt, on my own, at glasswork. And really, I never would have attempted it or even understood the concepts behind what I did, had it not been for using a mentor. A tough choice for a model, but I loved this $1 dollar castoff.

    Beginner people and animals... URGENT

You did a nice job, Lucy. I can very well understand the pre-event jitters. Your positive can-do attitude surely helped a lot. Animals can be very theraputic and the smile on the face of the woman above shows it. You could not post pictures of the folks with special needs because of privacy...
